FBI Probe: Man Exposed With Drugs, Guns & Extreme Pornography

Extreme Pornography Unearthed: An FBI probe that has recently been carried out has successfully exposed a man who was caught with a gun, drugs and absolute pornographic materials. The accused has been identified as Stephen Brownlee, a 49-year-old who was arrested on the 26th of May following a joint investigation between the North West Regional Organized Crime Unit and the US authorities. It has been found that he had also utilized the dark web for purchasing guides on “how to convert weapons” before the cops raided his residence.

When the police had searched his residence, the officers had found a blank-firing handgun that later revealed that the accused had tried to convert a viable weapon.

Brownlee residing in the Cuerdon Drive was later charged on the 9th of July owing to the import of a Section 5 Firearm, possession of Class B controlled drug, attempt to convert a firearm, and possessing extreme pornography. He has pleaded guilty to all the offences at the Chester Crown Court and has been prisoned for three consecutive years.

In a statement, a spokesperson for North West Regional Organised Crime Unit said: “A 49-year-old man from Warrington was jailed for three years at Chester Crown Court today (Thursday the 6th of August) after pleading guilty to firearms, drugs and sex offences.

Stephen Brownlee of Cuerdon Drive, Thelwall was arrested on the 26th of May this year following a joint investigation by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and the FBI which uncovered evidence that Brownlee had bought guides on how to convert firearms on the dark web.”

“Following a search of his home address officers seized a blank-firing handgun which further evidence confirmed Brownlee had attempted to convert.”

The officers have also found guides on how to convert weapons, and extreme pornography has been seized from his computers.

“He was later charged and pleaded guilty to Importing a Section 5 Firearm, Attempting to Convert a Firearm, Possession of a Class B Controlled Drug and Possession of Extreme Pornography on the 9th of July this year.”

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Meeney from the NWROCU said: “We welcome the sentencing of Stephen Brownlee today and hope this serves as a reminder to anyone intending to make illegal purchases on the internet, whether this is on the open or dark web, that we have dedicated teams working to protect our communities, and offenders will be brought before the courts.”
